History

In 1932, Association of Credit Men (Phils.), Inc., a non-stock and non-profit organization was formed by a group of credit professionals who saw the need for an organization which would promote credit information exchange as well as fellowship and camaraderie among credit men in the light of the problems experienced in the credit and collection management.

In 1967, it changed its name to Credit MAnagement Association of the Philippines, Inc. (CMAP).

CMAP currently has close to more than three hundred members from various industries such as banking, financing, services, trading, manufacturing, and insurance. CMAP has regional affiliations with other credit organizations in Visayas and Mindanao.
